It’s like Christmas for speciality coffee lovers! That’s right, it’s that time of year when East London descends into a caffeine-based frenzy once again. London Coffee Festival 2019 takes place at its usual home the Old Truman Brewery in Spitalfields on Thursday, March 28th to Sunday March 31st.
Trade attendees and fanatics alike will be treated to a bevy of different roasters, coffee-tech and barista events on display. It has become a home from home for Modern Standard and we’ll be showcasing our products again this year at stand HP31.
Come by for a freshly brewed Chemex and a chat! Plus, we’ll have an extra special surprise new for 2019, so be sure to read on to the bottom. We love opportunities to talk speciality coffee with people who really care about what goes into their cup.
We especially love London Coffee Festival for the people we meet, who want to learn about how we can provide their office with all-round coffee support, or simply ask questions about brewing great coffee at home. So if you’re in a quandary about grind settings or brewing techniques, we can help.
Delicious speciality coffees straight from the port
Our team will be ready to welcome you to try a freshly brewed filter coffee made with the freshest beans. They’re so fresh in fact, that we haven’t even yet been able to decide which ones we’ll be bringing! What we do know is that with speciality coffee there is nothing more exciting than trying the very latest harvests from the world’s finest fincas and micro-lots for the first time.
We’ll be brewing throughout the day for you to taste while we share the story of our coffees. There’ll be a selection too, so we can bring you flavoursome beans from the major coffee regions such as Ethiopia, Kenya and Costa Rica. If you’re a home-brewer looking to try something new, we’re sure to come up with the goods that’ll delight your taste buds at this year’s festival.
We always aim source the best speciality coffees available, when they are available. So much of what we do goes into getting the most delicious seasonal beans for our espresso blends and single origin filter options.

Working with KeepCup to reduce coffee waste
We are inspired by the tremendous effort going into making coffee consumption more sustainable. Our takeaway cups are compostable, which we believe is an important step in reducing the impact we’re having on our planet. At this year’s London Coffee Festival, we’re excited to be teaming up with KeepCup to go one step further.
As part of their drive for a healthier environment, KeepCup are encouraging attendees to make the most of reusable cups at this year’s festival. We’re excited to support this message and encourage patrons to wash their cups at our stand. That way you can enjoy all of the different coffee samples available (and that could be a hell of a lot) while also making a huge impact on the amount of waste that’s generated.
