Doing our bit
Due to the nature of the product and the regions we source our coffee from, the future of our business will be affected by climate change. According to a recent study by Climatic Change, around 50% of the land around the world currently used to produce high-quality coffee could be unproductive by 2050.

Coffee chaff
We product over 100L of coffee chaff a day. This is produced when we roast the coffee, and it has a biscuity smell.
It is a nutrient dense by-product of roasting, and we donate it to a local community garden to enrich their compost.
We donate all our chaff to The Ecology Centre, who mix it into their compost to enrich their soil. It's a great place to visit, and whilst you're there, you can grab a cup of Modern Standard Coffee too!
