We are pleased to confirm some exciting news at Modern Standard.
In March 2020 we will celebrate our 5th birthday, always a nice milestone in any business. We started our roastery in Essex, but it never felt like it was home.
With a growing business, serving customers all over the UK and Europe, we have opted to move to a new state-of-the-art roastery in Fife, Scotland. This also happens to be where Lynsey grew up, and we have received the warmest of welcomes. We will open a roastery cafe and shop in the summer of 2020, and we look forward to getting to know our new friends and neighbours.
This new location gives us the much-needed space and facilities we need to deliver even greater coffee and more efficient service to our customers all across the UK and in Europe.
Another important part of our development will be setting up a brand new London office and showroom on Bermondsey Street, just a 5 minute walk from London Bridge station, that will bring us closer to our clients in the city. When this location is ready in early 2020, we'll be able to deliver regular barista courses, coffee tastings, latte art throw downs and other coffee events in one place, as we continue in our mission to make great coffee available for everyone.
