Lynsey Harley

Lynsey Harley founded Modern Standard Coffee on 8 March 2015, International Women's Day, after more than 12 years working across the coffee industry. She is a Q Grader, a UK Cup Tasting Champion and a World Barista Championship judge.

Lynsey grew up in Glenrothes, Fife, where our roastery is today. She travels to coffee-growing countries to buy coffee, and she chooses and cups every coffee we sell. Her aim from day one has been to raise the quality of coffee everywhere people drink it: great coffee for everyone.

Modern Standard Coffee is a certified B Corp and a member of 1% for the Planet, and we pay coffee producers on average 40% over the Fairtrade minimum price.
