Hello, I'm Mo.

Found me on your packing slip, a gift box or a Christmas card and wondered who I am? You're in the right place. I'm Mo, and the tall one is my pal Stan.

Where Mo came from

A little character with a big job

Mo started with a simple idea. We wanted our own little mascot, someone who could help explain our coffees and bring a bit of fun to what we do.

Look closely and you'll spot where his name comes from. The M on the front of the cup and the O of the handle spell Mo. It's also the start of Modern, as in Modern Standard.

Once Mo arrived, he kept growing. Now he turns up on packing slips, gift boxes and Christmas cards, dressed for whatever the day needs.

Then came Stan. Mo is all about hot coffee, so it felt natural that he needed an iced coffee friend. Stan is a different kind of character: taller, lankier, and happier playing in the background. His name comes from Standard. Put the two together and you get Mo + Stan, Modern Standard.

Why you can colour him in

It was my children's idea

My own young children love colouring in. At the weekends they'd see me hard at work and ask what I was doing. I'd explain that I was working on my business.

One day they asked if they could have a Mo to colour in, because they thought he looked friendly. That's why Mo and Stan are here for everyone to colour, on screen or on paper.
