How much coffee does an office need?
A rough guide for bean-to-cup machines, at two coffees per person per office day, five days a week. Espresso machines use about twice as much coffee per drink, and filter and cafetière sit in between.

Use the builder to tell us your team size, how much you drink and what machine you use. It recommends a box size and a delivery schedule.

We roast to order
We roast five days a week in Glenrothes, Fife. Your coffee is roasted for your order and packed in whole 1kg bags. Order before 12 noon on a weekday and it goes out the same day.

Your coffee arrives by Royal Mail or Parcelforce, with free delivery anywhere in the UK.

How much coffee does an office use?
A bean-to-cup machine uses about 9g of coffee per drink, so 1kg makes around 110 coffees. A team of 15 having two coffees a day, five days a week, gets through about 6kg a month. The builder at the top of this page works it out for your team, your machine and your office days.
Can we skip or pause deliveries?
Yes. From your account you can skip a delivery, move the next date, pause or cancel, whenever you like. There's no minimum term.
Which coffee is best for a bean-to-cup machine?
Our espresso blends are made for it. Momentum is the one most of our wholesale customers choose: chocolate, almond and butterscotch, and great with milk. Magnitude is a little sweeter, and Mascot is our darker roast, with dark chocolate and toasted walnut. For decaf drinkers, add Mellow Decaf to each delivery. It's water processed, with no chemical solvents.
Can we add decaf?
Yes. Add 1, 2 or 3kg of Mellow Decaf to each delivery, on the same plan and in the same delivery as your main coffee. Most offices need far less decaf than their main coffee: for 12kg of espresso, 1 to 2kg of decaf is usually right.
Should we order whole bean or ground coffee?
Bean-to-cup and espresso machines need whole bean, because they grind fresh for every drink. For filter or batch brewers choose a medium grind, and for cafetières a coarse grind. We grind to order before we pack.
How is it delivered?
Boxes go by Parcelforce, with free delivery anywhere in the UK. We dispatch Monday to Friday. Order before 12 noon and it goes out the same day.
How do we pay?
By card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. Payment is taken automatically for each delivery, and you get an order confirmation every time for your records.
Can bigger offices order here too?
Yes. Any size of office can subscribe on this page and check out in a couple of minutes. If you'd also like free barista training, an account manager or help with machines, a wholesale account adds those, starting from 24kg a month.
Do you supply coffee machines?
Machines aren't part of the subscription, but our London team supplies and installs office coffee machines to buy, rent or lease, and Modern Standard Service handles servicing and repairs.
