How to make a matcha latte

Two minutes, no special kit needed. A small whisk or milk frother gives the smoothest result.

  1. 1MeasureAdd 1.5g of matcha (about half a teaspoon) to your mug. Sift it first for the smoothest cup.
  2. 2Add waterPour in 30ml of warm or cold water. Never boiling, as that makes it bitter.
  3. 3WhiskWhisk or froth until smooth, with no lumps and a light foam on top.
  4. 4Top upAdd steamed or cold milk, or warm water at 60–70°C. Sweeten with a syrup if you like.

No. Both grades are 100% matcha green tea powder with no added sugar. Add a syrup if you'd like it sweeter.

How much matcha do I need per drink?

Around 1.5g, about half a teaspoon. A 100g pouch makes around 66 drinks.

Does matcha contain caffeine?
