Meet Mascot, our first darker roast espresso. Sourced from the renowned Las Capucas cooperative in Honduras, this single origin delivers rich, comforting notes of dark chocolate, toasted walnut, and a hint of brown sugar. We’ve dialled up the roast to bring out a deeper, rounder body—without sacrificing balance or quality.

Mascot – Darker Roast Espresso

You asked, we listened. For years, we’ve held off on roasting darker—sticking to our lighter, more nuanced styles—but the demand for a bolder cup was too strong to ignore.

It’s the darker roast you’ve been waiting for. Still Modern Standard. Just with a little more bite.

Why we love it

Rico
Barista

Mascot is a nice change to our everyday medium roasts, if you like it a little darker, this is a good option.

Honduras Las Capucas

Las Capucas is a well-established coffee cooperative located in the Copán region of western Honduras, near the Celaque National Park. Known for its lush, high-altitude terrain and commitment to sustainable farming, Las Capucas produces exceptional coffees with clarity and character. The cooperative is made up of smallholder farmers who grow coffee under shade, often alongside other crops, promoting biodiversity. This particular lot is a washed Arabica, grown at elevations around 1,400–1,600 metres, resulting in a clean, sweet cup. Expect notes of chocolate, nuts, and gentle citrus—classic Honduran flavours, elevated by the care and community behind each harvest.
