Peach iced tea is the ultimate summer refresher. Brew a strong black tea, chill it, and add Sweetbird peach iced tea syrup. It's far fresher than the bottled stuff.
What you need
- Black tea, such as our English Breakfast tea bags
- Sweetbird Peach Iced Tea Syrup
- A tall glass and ice
- Optional: fresh peach slices and mint
The recipe (one glass)
- 2 tea bags
- 200ml of hot water
- 20ml peach iced tea syrup
- 150ml of cold water
- Plenty of ice
Step by step
- Brew the tea bags in 200ml of hot water for 4 minutes, then remove them.
- Leave to cool, or chill in the fridge.
- Fill a tall glass with ice and add the syrup.
- Pour in the cooled tea and the cold water, then stir.
- Garnish with peach slices and mint.

Tips
- Brew strong. Ice will dilute it.
- Make a jug in the morning and keep it in the fridge.
- Top with sparkling water for a peach spritz.

Can I use green tea?
Yes. Brew it at around 80°C for 2 to 3 minutes to avoid bitterness.
How long does it keep?
Up to two days in the fridge.
A glass with 20ml of syrup is around 70 kcal.
