How to Make an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte
The layered pink and green drink everyone's ordering: how to make an iced strawberry matcha latte at home in three minutes.
In this article
The iced strawberry matcha is the drink of the moment: sweet strawberry at the bottom, cold milk in the middle and bright green matcha floating on top. It looks impressive, but it takes about three minutes.
What you need
- Zuma Matcha
- Sweetbird Strawberry Syrup
- A small whisk or milk frother
- A tall glass, ice and cold milk
The recipe
- 15ml strawberry syrup
- A glass full of ice
- 180ml of cold milk
- 1.5g of matcha whisked with 40ml of water
Step by step
- Pour the strawberry syrup into the bottom of a tall glass.
- Fill the glass with ice, then slowly add the cold milk.
- In a separate cup, whisk 1.5g of matcha (about half a teaspoon) with 40ml of cold or warm water until smooth.
- Pour the matcha slowly over the back of a spoon so it sits on top of the milk.
- Stir before drinking.
Tips
- Pour the milk slowly over the ice so the syrup layer stays at the bottom.
- Oat milk gives a creamier, more milkshake-like drink.
- Swap strawberry for cherry or vanilla.
